In celebration of the 25th episode, we are honored to welcome Peter Bart as our special guest. With a career spanning six decades in Hollywood, Bart has played a pivotal role in reinventing prestige filmmaking. As an executive at Paramount Pictures in the 1970s, he greenlit classics like “The Godfather.” His wealth of knowledge and experiences will undoubtedly make for an engaging and enlightening conversation.
Looking ahead, “Don’t Kill the Messenger” has an exciting lineup of guests, including directors Antoine Fuqua and Will Gluck, producers Robbie Brenner, Todd Black, and Jason Blumenthal, and TriStar Pictures head Nicole Brown, among many others. These upcoming episodes promise even more insider insights and behind-the-scenes stories from the movers and shakers of the industry.
As the host of the show, I am grateful for the opportunity to share the behind-the-scenes experiences and insights from esteemed guests. With thousands of test screenings and focus groups under my belt, I have witnessed firsthand how audience data guides creative decisions in Hollywood. This podcast, along with my book Audienceology, aims to pull back the curtain on this process, allowing listeners to gain a deeper understanding of how the industry operates.
The listener reviews speak to the value of the insider’s perspective that “Don’t Kill the Messenger” brings to understanding Hollywood.
