In the increasingly digitized world of business, podcasts have emerged as a powerful tool for knowledge sharing and collaboration. One such podcast making waves in the business community is OxTalks, an initiative of the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP). Having successfully completed its first series, OxTalks is back for a second run.
The podcast series, masterfully hosted by seasoned broadcaster Howard Bentham, seeks to delve into the pressing questions in business, from efficiency to staff motivation. The ultimate aim? To spur and sustain business growth in Oxfordshire, a county known for its vibrant economic potential. OxLEP, the driving force behind this podcast, works relentlessly to cultivate a dynamic, sustainable, and thriving business climate in Oxfordshire.
The second series of OxTalks has the backing of leading national law firm Mills & Reeve. The firm opened its most recent UK office in Oxford in 2022, and is deeply committed to propelling the growth of Oxfordshire’s thriving innovation economy.
Mills & Reeve’s projects in Oxfordshire span sectors such as education, life sciences, real estate investment, private wealth, and technology. Alongside OxLEP, the law firm has been instrumental in some of the most impactful projects in the region, including the Oxford North innovation district – a significant recent development that bolsters their presence at the core of the local community.
The first series of OxTalks boasted a lineup of influential industry figures, such as Dominic Hare, CEO of Blenheim Palace, Tim Bestwick, Chief Technology Officer at UK Atomic Energy Authority, and Abena Fairweather, Founder and Managing Director of sustainable events company Legacy.
The upcoming series promises to offer equally insightful conversations on business challenges and strategies. The first episode features Dan Geoghegan, Chief Executive of Bicester Motion and Bicester Heritage.
Nigel Tipple, OxLEP’s Chief Executive, expresses his excitement regarding the return of OxTalks, stating that the podcast offers a unique perspective on the key challenges and opportunities for businesses in Oxfordshire and beyond. Peter McLintock, Mills & Reeve’s Oxford Head of Office, echoes this sentiment, expressing delight at the opportunity to support OxTalks in nurturing business growth across the region.
The second series of OxTalks debuted on November 6th, with subsequent episodes set to be published every two weeks.
