SiriusXM is entering a new era, unveiling a streaming app, a refreshed brand platform, and a new pricing scheme. The launch is the first of many product developments planned as the company strives to deliver an unsurpassed listening experience for subscribers on-the-go, in the car, and everywhere they choose to connect.
The new SiriusXM app, which rolls out on December 14, is expected to offer a more personalized, user-friendly, discovery-centric streaming experience. It comes with a range of features that include personalized curation, enhanced content discovery, improved playback, upgraded search capabilities, an improved podcast listening experience, and an interactive onboarding process.
In addition, SiriusXM announced a variety of new channels and shows that cater to diverse tastes. The list includes Kelly Clarkson Connection, an audiochuck channel curated by Ashley Flowers, Life with John Mayer channel, This Life of Mine with James Corden, Dolly Parton’s Rockstar Radio, Smokey’s Soul Town, Shaggy’s Boombastic Radio, and three new channels dedicated to different genres of music from the 2000s.
The launch of the new SiriusXM app also introduces guest DJ channel takeovers from over 160 top artists and bands, including Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B, Alice Cooper, and Luke Combs. These new takeovers allow listeners to get even closer to the artists they love with music hand-curated by the stars.
In line with its ambitious plans, SiriusXM is focused on establishing and expanding distribution agreements with automotive manufacturers, brands, key industry players, and more. This strategy aims to extend the company’s unparalleled offering to potential new subscribers. Currently, SiriusXM and Audible are collaborating to share content and offer subscribers the opportunity to experience each other’s offerings commencing in early 2024. The company has also expanded its agreement with Polestar and is expected to be available for guests at select Hilton hotel properties next year.
This dynamic shift represents a pivotal moment in SiriusXM’s history and promises to bring listeners closer to what they love.
